Terms of Service

Heartdue is a tool for organising your own financial information (bills, subscriptions, budgets, balances you type in, and everyday spending) and for choosing to share a view of it with people you trust.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
• Give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
• You're responsible for what happens in your account, including anything done with phone keys or calendar links you create. Remove them in Settings if a device is lost or a link is shared by mistake.
• One person per account. Don't share your sign-in: invite people to your Trusted Circle instead.

• You decide who to invite, what each person can see, and for how long. You can change or remove access at any time.
• People you invite can view what you allow, leave notes and offer to handle a bill. They can't change your bills or move money.
• Only share information that's yours to share, and invite only people you trust.
• If someone shares their finances with you, respect their privacy: use what you see only to help them, don’t copy or pass it on, and stop when they ask.
• Never use Heartdue to monitor or control someone without their free and informed agreement, or to pressure, exploit or financially abuse anyone. We will close accounts used this way.

Heartdue has a free plan and paid plans (Essentials and AI Advisor). Current prices and what each includes are shown on the Plans page before you subscribe, together with any taxes that apply.

• Paid plans renew automatically every month and are charged to your payment method at the start of each period, until you cancel.
• Cancel any time in Settings → Your plan → Manage billing, online and without contacting us. You keep paid features until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and aren’t charged again.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe’s terms for processing your payment.
• If a payment fails, we’ll let you know and give you time to update your card before anything switches off.
• If you move to a cheaper plan while using things it doesn’t include, nothing changes for 7 days. We show you exactly what will be removed, so you can upgrade again or choose what to keep before then.
• If we change a price, we’ll tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
• Refunds: apart from the rights below, payments for a period that has started aren’t refundable, but we’ll consider any request made to [to complete] fairly, including for accidental or duplicate charges.
• If you live in the EU or UK, you can withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of starting it without giving a reason. If you asked for the service to start straight away, we may keep a proportionate amount for the days you used it. Email [to complete] to withdraw.

Supporting Heartdue: contributions through the Support page are voluntary one-off payments. They don’t buy a plan, features or any goods or services, and are not tax-deductible donations. If you contributed by mistake, contact us within 14 days for a refund.

Using Heartdue from an app store: the app store version doesn’t sell plans. A plan bought on the Heartdue website works when you sign in to the app. App stores aren’t responsible for plans bought on our website.

Don’t:

• break the law, or use Heartdue for fraud, money laundering or any illegal financial activity;
• try to access other people's accounts or data, get around limits or security, or probe, scan or overload the service;
• upload anything malicious, or enter full card numbers, passwords or other people's information without their permission;
• copy, resell or build a competing service from Heartdue, or scrape it by automated means (except your own data through the export tools);
• misuse the AI assistant, for example to produce harmful content, or present its answers as professional advice.

Your information stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run Heartdue for you and the people you share with, as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you send feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Heartdue without owing you anything, but we won’t publish your name or message without asking.

• Heartdue, its design and its software belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it; they don't transfer ownership.
• We work to keep Heartdue available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control.
• We may change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces a paid plan, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel.
• Heartdue relies on other services (such as Stripe, Google, Supabase, Vercel and Resend). Their availability isn't under our control.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Danger zone. See Deleting your account for what happens. Any paid plan is cancelled automatically when your account is deleted, so you aren’t charged again; the rest of the current period isn’t refunded unless the law requires it.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or where the law requires. Where it’s safe and lawful, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to download your data. If we close a paid account without you having broken these terms, we’ll refund the unused part of your period.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t legally be excluded.

Subject to that: Heartdue is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we aren’t liable for losses caused by relying on figures, reminders or AI assistant answers, late or missed payments, decisions you make, or events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars.

Please contact us first at [to complete]; most problems can be sorted out quickly. These terms are governed by [to complete], and disputes will be heard by [to complete]. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and can bring claims in your local courts where those laws allow.

We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we’ll give you notice in the app or by email before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then. Continuing to use Heartdue after the change means you accept the new terms.

If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we can still do so later. You can’t transfer your rights under these terms without our agreement; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over Heartdue, and your rights won’t be reduced.
