Heartdue
Refund Policy
Effective October 9, 2026
Heartdue is paid for month by month, and you can stop at any time. This page says what happens to your money when you do, and when a payment is refunded. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Free trial
- Essentials starts with a 7-day free trial when you subscribe on our website. You aren’t charged anything when you start it. The other paid plan has no trial and is charged when you subscribe.
- Cancel at any point during the trial, in Settings → Your plan → Manage or cancel, and you won’t be charged at all.
- If you don’t cancel, the first monthly payment is taken when the trial ends, and the plan renews monthly from then on.
- Switching plans during the trial: to a plan that has a trial, yours carries on to the same day and the new plan is charged when it ends; to one that doesn't, the trial ends and the new plan is charged that day.
- One free trial per person. A second subscription on the same account starts without one.
- A plan bought inside the Android or iPhone app follows that store's own rules for any free trial.
2. Cancelling a plan
- Cancel a plan bought on our website any time in Settings → Your plan → Manage or cancel, online, with no need to contact us.
- A plan bought inside the Android app is cancelled in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions), and one bought inside the iPhone app in your iPhone’s Settings (your name → Subscriptions).
- You keep everything your plan includes until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you aren't charged again.
- The rest of the current month isn't refunded automatically, but see below: if you've just started, or something went wrong, ask us.
3. Switching plans
- On our website, a switch takes effect straight away. Moving up, the difference for the rest of the current period is charged then. Moving down, the unused part of what you paid is kept as credit towards your next payments; it isn't paid back.
- A plan bought inside the Android or iPhone app is switched in Google Play or the App Store, under their rules.
4. Deleting your account
- Deleting your account ends a plan bought on our website straight away, and nothing more is charged. The unused part of the period isn’t refunded automatically, but everything in When we refund still applies: email us.
- A plan bought inside the Android or iPhone app isn’t stopped by deleting your account. Cancel it in Google Play or your iPhone’s Settings first, or the store keeps charging you.
5. When we refund
Email hello@heartdue.com and we’ll refund a payment made on our website in full if:
- You ask within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, for any reason. We’d rather you try Heartdue properly than worry about the money.
- You were charged by mistake: a duplicate payment, a renewal after you cancelled, or a charge you didn’t authorise.
- Heartdue wasn’t available for a large part of a period you paid for, through a fault on our side.
- We close a paid account without you having broken the Terms: the unused part of your period is refunded.
If you live in the EU or UK, you also have the right to withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of starting it, without giving a reason. If you asked for the service to start straight away, we may keep a proportionate amount for the days you used it.
Outside those cases, payments for a month that has already started aren’t refunded, but we read every request and will always be fair about it.
6. How a refund is paid
- Payments on our website are taken by Paddle, our merchant of record, so a refund comes from Paddle too, back to the payment method you used. It usually shows within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
- You can ask us at hello@heartdue.com, or ask Paddle directly through the link in your receipt email or at paddle.net. Either way reaches us.
- We answer refund requests within 3 business days.
7. Contributions and app-store purchases
- Contributions through the Support page are voluntary one-off payments that don’t buy a plan. If you contributed by mistake, contact us within 14 days and we’ll refund it.
- Plans bought inside the Android or iPhone app are sold by Google Play or the App Store under their own refund rules: ask for a refund from Google Play or from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). We can’t refund those ourselves, but we’ll help you find the right place. If the store refunds a plan, the plan ends once the store tells us.
