Deleting your account
Effective [to complete]
You can delete your Heartdue account and data whenever you like. Here’s how, and what happens.
Delete it yourself (quickest)
- Sign in at Heartdue on the web or in the app.
- If you have a paid plan, it’s cancelled automatically when your account is deleted, so you won’t be charged again.
- Optionally, take a copy: Settings → Your data.
- Go to Settings → Danger zone and follow the steps. For your security we email you a confirmation link, and deletion happens when you open it.
Can't sign in?
Email [to complete] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll confirm it’s you and delete the account within 30 days.
What's deleted, and what's kept
- Deleted straight away: your profile, profiles, bills, budgets, balances, savings goals, spending, alerts, phones, calendar links, notification settings and devices, your Trusted Circle and its notes and activity, offers of help, and feedback you sent while signed in.
- People you helped keep their own accounts. Your access to them simply ends.
- Kept for a limited time: routine database backups, overwritten within 30 days.
- Kept where the law requires: payment and tax records held by Stripe and us, for as long as accounting and tax laws require.
Deleting an account can’t be undone.
