Pay the way you normally do, and the amount and the place appear in Heartdue a moment later: counted against your budget, sorted into a category, and linked to a bill if that's what it was. No bank login, and nothing to type.
You'll need iOS 17 or later (Settings → General → About → iOS Version) and at least one card in Apple Wallet.

It can't see a physical card, a bank transfer or cash; Apple only tells Shortcuts about Wallet payments. Add those on the Spending page.
To see Heartdue's reply after each payment, add a Show Notification action to the automation and pick Contents of URL.

| Looks like your … bill | Saved and linked to a bill already on your list, so it isn't counted twice. |
| Already logged | The same payment arrived twice (usually a slow connection). The repeat was ignored. |
| This phone's key isn't valid any more | The phone was removed in Heartdue, or the key was pasted wrongly. Add the phone again for a fresh key. |
| …comes with Essentials | Logging from a phone needs the Essentials plan or above. |
| …pausing it for a while | More than 30 payments in an hour from one phone. It picks up again on its own. |
| Couldn't read an amount | The amount field is empty or not a number. In the automation, check amount is set to Shortcut Input → Amount. |
